Global Seismic Data (GSD) was established in New Zealand in 2018. Proponents in the development of affordable cloud service solutions that measure seismic activity of buildings and infrastructure. Resulting data is used to flag vulnerabilities, allowing engineers to assess and strengthen structures – providing economic resilience for building owners. In addition alerts are broadcast during a large event to notify stakeholders of a buildings status – protecting lives and allowing businesses to resume as soon as possible after an event.

The future

GSD’s vision is to see businesses and communities benefit from a system of safety by continuing to grow joint venture partnerships locally and globally with engineering companies, telecommunication companies, and insurers.

Steve Hutchins

CO-FOUNDER & CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Steve leads all aspects of GSD’s technology business. He is responsible for technology strategy, and leading innovation through research and development. Steve leverages emerging technologies, delivering the newest innovations to our clients globally.

Damon Hutley

HEAD OF TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS & SOFTWARE

Damon is our team lead for developing and implementing new technology that benefits our business globally. He is responsible for leading the technology team and manages future developments across Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Steven McLauchlan

GLOBAL OPERATIONS & SUPPLY CHAIN

Steven is responsible for managing GSD’s alliances, partnerships and senior-level relationships with leading and emerging engineering companies and partners. He leads global operations and supply chain. He is a member of GSD’S Global Management Committee.

Junaid Ahmed

TECHNICAL SPECIALIST SYSTEMS & SOFTWARE

Junaid provides in-depth understanding of programming, language and coding. His knowledge of software, including object-oriented management and meta-data management is key to our business and future developments.

Graham Nel

DIRECTOR INSTALLATIONS & TRAINING SERVICES

Graham is responsible for managing installations and training services. He provides re-seller partnership training services for installations, maintenance, and authorised installer accreditations.

Bruce McLauchlan

CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

With over 50 years’ experience of running FMCG businesses, Bruce’s experience and operational knowledge contributes vastly to the day-to-day management oversight of GSD’s global business.

The core team is supported by very experienced additional stakeholders, co-founders and shareholders behind the scenes, providing governance and advisory board services.
